Bohns Point

A lakeside family retreat on White Bear Lake, Bohns Point draws inspiration from the enduring traditions of American summer life. Guided by the concept of “Lost J.Crew,” the project reimagines the nostalgic ease of lakeside living. Designed as a gathering place across generations. Classic tilework, custom millwork, natural stone, brass hardware, and richly layered textures create interiors that feel both familiar and enduring. Throughout the project, Prospect Refuge looked to the timeless optimism of 1980s and 1990s American sportswear culture where craftsmanship, and connection to place took precedence over excess. The result is a home that celebrates tradition without feeling beholden to it.

LOST J.CREW

Before the internet, there were traditions - layered and deep. Growing richer with each generation, grounding lives and spaces in history, joining past with present.

Traditions allow for more living of life, less reinvention, more connection. J Crew in the 90s was the outfitter of choice for the deepest of these traditions. Simplicity, quality, heritage details, hardworking materials. From time spent on the water, around the fire, relaxing with a book or sharing a meal - turning down the
complexity meant the focus was on people, nature, and nostalgia.
