CELTIC GODDESS
Guided by the spirit of Brigid the Celtic goddess of fire, healing, poetry, and cattle. This whole-home remodel imagines a residence with its own patron deity watching over it. Her multi-faceted magic moves through every room: the dramatic ironwork of the entry, the quiet healing tones of the kitchen, the gathering warmth of the great room fire, and the poetry of a primary suite built as a sanctuary unto itself. Rich, layered, and a little bit magical.

The Brief: Reimagine the home as though it had its own patron goddess. A space imbued with the strength and magnetism of Brigid, goddess of fire, healing, and poetry.
'We always do a concept with every project. A little narrative and story that helps us get focused, And when we first met the client, she had such a powerful presence, like a goddess of war or something, and I really wanted to capture that.'

THE CONCEPT
GODDESS ENERGY
This is the goddess of the forge and anvil, of poets, painters, and prophets, and of healing as well as battle, of fire but also water, of love and of death. She has crossed the chasm from regional land goddess to Christian saint and back again to a contemporary figure of global scope, distinct as the many tongues that speak her name.
Room by room, her domains come to life: blacksmithing in the entry's sculptural ironwork and gradated light; healing in the kitchen's soothing putty palette; fire in a great room built for gathering, campfire-style, around a singular anchoring coffee table; cattle in a den enveloped like moss, weighted and plump, with a wink toward the literal creature; and poetry in a primary suite wrapped in a bed-as-sanctuary, ringed in gold, and finished with a single hard-to-name hue that feels dusty, timeworn, and enduring.
