PROJECT
Potters House
Drawing inspiration from the work of ceramicist Lucie Rie, Potters House is a multi-layered tapestry of texture and form. Complex in its details, beautifully simple in its execution. A richly colored palette evokes the warmth and depth of ceramics glazes, while everyday functional objects are elevated into sculptural pieces. Above all, the home fosters a feeling of craftsmanship, and a place where intimacy and social life coexist.

CONCEPT
A POTTER'S HOME
Lucie Rie had an innate understanding of proportion, balance, and scale — vessels with meticulously thin walls and perfectly refined curves that transcended function to become icons in their own right. Mastery of form here means the same thing: functional objects and sculptural shapes meeting at their most harmonious point, transforming everyday pieces into something quietly captivating.
Her palette guides the home's earthy hues — terracotta, muted rust, soft beige, with touches of deep blue, burnt sienna, and mossy green for contrast — while her porcelain whites inspire a design built on essentialism: subtracting first, then thoughtfully choosing what stays. Throughout, tactile connection is the throughline. Pieces that appear simple at first glance reveal subtle intricacies and surface textures on closer inspection, echoing the handmade quality and quiet complexity of pottery itself.
